INTENDED USE
The rotary drum screen with external inflow is used to separate solids from liquids. It is used to clean off liquid wastes of any suspension, technological waters, for instance, in such industries as: fruit and vegetable processing, meat, poultry, fish, sugar, brewery, environment protection and other.
PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION
The cleaned medium flows on the drum, rotary input from the welded slotted sieve. Its movement directs the adhering contamination to the strike where they are separated and removed with the chute. A screw conveyor can be used instead of the chute. Liquid flowing through the sieve gets to the collector with a connector pipe installed at the bottom from which it flows away with pressure. As it is in the standard, the rotary sieve is equipped with a washing installation placed inside the slotted drum. The device is made of acid-proof steel (AISI 304), but there is an option to make it of AISI 316L steel. The slots in the drum are within the range of 0,25-10,0 mm. All the elements of the device are available to a precise wash, the surfaces of the elements are smooth and the constructive profiles are closed and rounded. Most of the connections are welded.
The technical parameters of the device are chosen depending on the cleaned medium, slot size and required efficiency. The parameters also depend on the individual requirements of the Buyer. In order to choose an appropriate rotary sieve with external influx the information on the intended use is necessary, its efficiency, amount of suspension in the liquid and the desired quality of cleansing.
